·       Where and how do you want to access information?

Blackboard/email, email works well

·        What equipment and skills do staff/students need to deliver the blended, social and mobile learning?

Laptop, library, computer suites easy to access computers, but problems like slow running computers technical issues

·        What online digital resources would you like to use?

E-library, e-catalouge difficult to use, no to social media

·        Would you like to engage with tutors online and see online resources?

Yes blackboard more interactive, online tutorials are good e.g regarding thesis

·        Could students create online learning resources, if so how?

Already have Luxury- a blog/website which has opportunities up and communication to each other, there are facebook groups but not as helpful as face to face.

·        What support do you need to help create resources?

Help setting up website, although there are workshops helping with setting up blogs

·        Should UAL evaluate digital skill levels of staff and students?

Yes good idea to support those who need extra help, through an informal assessment

·        Which digital skill sets are important to you?

Email, blackboard, setting up website, putting up images, wants to learn autocad

 

·        Do you feel connected: to other UAL colleges and individuals?

No online community between colleges except ccw programme

·        Do you feel connected: to industry and professionals in your specialism?

Yes and no, yes because tutors do email some opportunities and ccw programme, and no because art skills gained don’t help towards outside industries so its limiting

·        How can UAL improve online participation and networks?

Better training for staff, Ipads

·       Where and how do you want to access information?

Google for research, also uses facebook as its more efficient in getting notifications about events, its filtered, also email main tool

·        What equipment and skills do staff/students need to deliver the blended, social and mobile learning?

Mobile phone is main contact, laptop more secondary use, eventhough layout of some websites is different on phones its still more practical and quicker, eg shortcut of webmail on phone is very convenient

 

·        What online digital resources would you like to use?

Facebook and twitter but facebook is more effective as it has the latest and clear information. Also a ual phone app could be helpful run by each college to give regular updates, so its something more like artquest/facebook for information so this would mean better communication between students and colleges

 

·        Would you like to engage with tutors online and see online resources?

Online tutorials regarding thesis would be more convenient

 

·        Do you feel connected: to other UAL colleges and individuals?

No but would like to

 

·        Do you feel connected: to industry and professionals in your specialism?

No only get email updates would like to be through facebook and an app

·        Would you like to engage with tutors online and see online resources?

Would like to through skype, otherwise not

·        What support do you need to help create resources?

Simpler computer which is more direct, simpler software, one to one help sessions needed at the moment learning from peers is working well collaborative support

·        Should UAL evaluate digital skill levels of staff and students?

Yes if followed through so people who need support are given it, also it could be student led support those who are capable collaborating with those who are not

·        How can UAL improve online participation and networks?

Better faster simpler access to my arts, blackboard, the staff need to be better trained. Set up a framework where there is better more regular face to face interaction and also online support.

Blackboard notice boards student emails. Has own website and profiles on other websites, research online

Blogs facebook, more contact through email

Own website

·        What support do you need to help create resources?

Technical know how of creating website

·        Should UAL evaluate digital skill levels of staff and students?

Yes and then support for those who need it

·        Which digital skill sets are important to you?

Social media, blog facebook, creating website

 

·        Do you feel connected: to other UAL colleges and individuals?

No

 

·        Do you feel connected: to industry and professionals in your specialism?

Yes but not that and the connection they have, have been made by themselves by joining mailing list

·        How can UAL improve online participation and networks?

Making blogging a more integral part of course start from 1st year, more tutor group sessions on work online

More social media interaction and links between sites

Tumblr, own website

Yes for some occasions

·        Could students create online learning resources, if so how?

Website, blog

·        What support do you need to help create resources?

Setting up skills and continuing skills

·        Should UAL evaluate digital skill levels of staff and students?

Yes informal evaluation and help those who need it

·        Which digital skill sets are important to you?

Blogging website

·        Do you feel connected: to other UAL colleges and individuals?

Not that much

·        Do you feel connected: to industry and professionals in your specialism?

No, would to though

·        How can UAL improve online participation and networks?

Make it a more important part of the course, with special focus on supporting and encouraging online participation

Blackboard, perhaps more visual

Yes, would be good for feedback and tips, etc

Yes, if time wasn’t an issue, referencing guidelines, etc

 

6.    Should UAL evaluate digital skill levels of staff and students?

No

 

7.    Which digital skill sets are important to you?

No would make people feel underprivileged in certain aspects of ‘digital art’

 

8.    Do you feel connected: to other UAL colleges?

Yes, not so much to csm

9.    Do you feel connected: to industry and professionals in your specialism?

Yes

No, its a free option

Via the internet

Some but not all the time, face to face is always better

Yes, posting links to sites etc

I.T lessons

Not really- too far away from them

Not as of yet but we do receive emails sometimes so I guess a little

Workshops on how to create online profiles, blog and how to use macs and the latest softwares

Yes and help those who need support

    Digital Media Centre at Wimbledon is happy to support the wishes stated above. The DMC Bb is up and running where students and staff can book or request necessary workshops to develop the digital skills or course units.
