Open Education at the UAL a focus and discussion group meeting Wednesday 11th Jan at 3-5 pm at Central St. Martins in room KX B101 – All Welcome.
This will be a focus and discussion group meeting around the theme of encouraging and supporting UAL staff and students to participate in the growing worldwide open education movement. Some staff and students are already doing this and others are interested but there is still much to do in raising awareness.
The meeting will examine what is involved in sharing some of our learning resources openly on the web for others to use and how this may benefit staff, the UAL and students. Here is a link to a short set of questions to get you thinking about the issues:
The meeting is part of the work of two UAL projects that are tasked with exploring and improving our ability to create and share open learning resources and to develop the skills and confidence in staff and students to work and collaborate in the digital world:
DIAL – Digital Integration into Arts Learning – http://dial.myblog.arts.ac.uk/about-dial/
ALTO – Arts Learning and Teaching Online – http://blogs.arts.ac.uk/alto/about/
